Terms of Use

These terms apply when you use PaddlSync (the "Service") — the website at www.paddlsync.com and the PaddlSync apps. The Service is provided by PaddlSync ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them.

PaddlSync helps recreational clubs run their sessions: sign-up, fair rotation, live scoring, skill ratings and statistics. Everything needed to run and take part in club sessions is free.

We keep improving the Service, so features can change. We will not take away a paid feature during a period you have already paid for.

Keep your sign-in details to yourself and tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account.

Use the Service fairly: don't enter results you know are false, don't try to reach data you aren't allowed to see, and don't disrupt the Service or other members. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms, and we will tell you why.

You can delete your account at any time from your profile.

PaddlSync Plus is an optional subscription for your own account. It adds extras on top of the free Service, such as your full rating history and more AI session stories. What it includes is listed on the PaddlSync Plus screen before you buy.

It is sold separately for each of our apps, so PaddlSync Plus applies to PaddlSync only.

The price, the billing period and any free trial are shown before you confirm. Prices include any tax the store charges.

In the iOS app you pay Apple through your App Store account, and Apple's terms for purchases also apply. On the website you pay by card through our payment provider.

The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. A free trial turns into a paid subscription unless you cancel before it ends.

Cancel an App Store subscription in your Apple ID's subscription settings; cancel a web subscription from Manage subscription in the app. Cancelling stops the next renewal — you keep the extras until the end of the period you paid for.

If we change the price, we will tell you before it applies, and it only applies from your next renewal. You can cancel before then.

App Store purchases: refunds are handled by Apple under its own policy — request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Web purchases: if you live in the UK or the EU you normally have 14 days to cancel a purchase of digital content. Because PaddlSync Plus starts as soon as you subscribe, you ask us to start it straight away and accept that this right ends once it has started. If something goes wrong, contact us at contact@paddlsync.com and we will put it right.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

We work to keep the Service available and your data safe, but we can't promise it will always be uninterrupted or free of errors. Ratings and statistics are worked out from the results entered by your club.

We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, or for business losses — the Service is for personal, recreational use.

We do not exclude liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or for fraud.

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect; if you don't agree, you can cancel your subscription and stop using the Service.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK or in the EU, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law where you live, and you can bring a claim in your local courts.
